The Illinois House of Representatives will be back in session a little sooner than planned. According to the SJ-R, the House will be back in session starting Thursday at the request of Speaker Michael Madigan to start talking about a statewide construction plan.

The State Journal-Register ran a story investigating why more water wasn’t available when U.S. Sen. Barack Obama made a trip to Springfield on Saturday. The report couldn’t identify the responsible party for the lack of hydration, but noted about 150 people had to be treated for illnesses caused by the scorching temperatures.
